If possible please try to telephone Reception before 11:00 am if you require a home visit. Please be prepared to tell the receptionist about your condition so we can visit the most urgent cases first.

A Doctor or Nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to arrange hospital attendance.

The decision to visit  will be based on clinical needs and is made by the Doctor.

Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Our Doctors typically see four patients at the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery. For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the practice if at all possible.

Home visits are done between 12:30 – 15:00 (between morning and afternoon surgeries).
