Bladder cancer is a common cancer in the UK, with 10,335 new cases diagnosed in 2008. It is the most frequently occurring tumour of the urinary system and accounts for around 1 in every 30 new cases of cancer each year in the UK. In the UK bladder cancer is the fourth most common cancer in males
In females it is the eleventh most common cancer.
